The Power of Good Courage – Unleashing Psalm 27:14’s Message

God is aware that we require fortitude to overcome the obstacles in life. The Bible is full with words of encouragement, such as Psalm 27:14, which encourages us to wait on the LORD and have courage, and He will strengthen our hearts. I say, wait upon the LORD!”

Good courage is the ability to face challenges head-on with bravery, self-assurance, and trust rather than fear. In the Bible, the term “wait” can also refer to “trust.” This concept is expressed in Isaiah 40:31: “But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not grow weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

This kind of unwavering boldness and confidence is only available to those who acknowledge the Lord as their Savior. Whom am I to dread, wonders the Psalmist? My rescue and light come from the LORD. Since the LORD is the rock of my life, whom should I fear?”

Because the Lord is with us, we may be courageous in any dangerous situation. For those who put their confidence in the Lord, there is no darkness too deep, no night too long, no sorrow too intense, no evil too frightening, and no opponent too powerful to weaken their faith. Because the Lord is their fortress, believers may be bold.

Joshua was given two instructions by God: “Be strong and courageous,” and “The LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Solomon and other biblical servants were given the same confidence. We may be brave and fearless because the Lord is on our side. Because the LORD is our protector, we don’t need to worry about natural calamities or the destruction that befalls the wicked. He’ll watch out for us.

God gives us power to overcome the obstacles we encounter. Insuring Christians living through difficult times to maintain hope, the apostle Paul said, “Even though our outer self is fading away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.” Our transient hardships set us up for eternal grandeur. In every circumstance, we may have faith that God is working things out for our benefit and His glory.

“I have told you these things so that you may have peace in Me,” Jesus said to His followers. We can remain courageous and peaceful even in difficult circumstances. Jesus is the way of peace because He has conquered the world. Believers are protected in Christ even if the world may oppose us. From the perspective of God’s children, “everyone born of God overcomes the world.” The triumph that triumphs above all is our faith.

Since God is our defender and protector, we ought to have bravery. We are not terrified because of the love of the Father. When God is with us, nothing can separate us from His love or work against us.

What could possibly go wrong for us? The apostle Paul declared that we have been granted “an eternal house in heaven,” by God, even after we die. We may be brave because those who believe in Jesus Christ are promised eternal life in paradise.
